Our philosophy is one of tailored holistic care. That is, we get to know your cat, through questions and observation, and we create an environment to suit. This ethos is supported by the products we use, our focus on setting up each individual suite, and the vast experience possessed by our carers.
We use the Eagle Pack Super Premium range of foods for all our guests – a holistic formula incorporating Eagle Pack's 'whole-health' philosophy of superior nutrition. Their formulas offer unique advantages not available from any other brand, including ingredients selected for their individual contributions to your pet's health, such as Chicory Extract, Organic Dandelion and Flaxseed.
By using crystal litter, which neutralises odour and inhibits bacterial growth, we maintain an environment free from the overpowering smells that are indicative of another cat’s territory - potentially creating stress for your animal.
Settling in
Feliway© dispensers and sprays assist the settling-in process. Their range of synthetic ‘comfort pheromones’ mimic a cat’s natural facial pheromone, inducing a sense of familiarity and security in the cat's local environment, and helping to comfort and reassure.
In setting up a suite, we consider the age, health, breed, and temperament of your cat. A feisty torti may need an end suite with little exposure to other animals, while a shy ginger might need a comfortable hidey hole for security. An old Burmese chap might need a ramp to make his way to his sleeping quarters, while his younger counterpart might want to survey the territory from an elevated run. Every cat is different.
We expect and encourage you to call in and see what we have to offer before making a reservation, as we recognise that this is a vital part of the decision to use a boarding facility. You’ll be warmly greeted by both staff and guest, and if you listen closely enough, by a Bach Cello Concerto or two as well, or one of Kokin Gumi’s meditation favourites (we all know that music soothes the savage beast).
